A little about myself
Hi, I’m Gerri
I am from Hays which is in north central Kansas. I have been a part of our family owned and operated farm and ranching operation. We raise wheat, alfalfa, sorghum grains and feed. We have both registered Charolais and Red Angus cattle. As seed stock producers we sell females and bulls by private treaty annually. We also have a commercial based herd with Red Angus and Charolais influence. All aspects of our operation fuels profitability in our cattle operation.
I showed cattle for 32 year starting in 4-H. We exhibited females and bulls representing our progeny at local, regional and national levels. I was the beef superintendent for 4-H for 12 years. During that time it was a joy and honor to give clipping demonstrations and mock shows for 4-H and at Fort Hays State University. The youth of today are the future in today’s ever changing economy. Serving on breed association committee’s and state Board of Director’s gave me a hands on experience second to none. I have been consulting customers whom have purchased our cattle for years. The friendships and camaraderie built are priceless.
I have decided to open my experience to anyone who needs my service. I have great passion for trouble shooting problems or teaching what I have learned though both research and trial and error. I know many aspects of the Ins and Outs of the cattle industry. Though I am well versed in Charolais and Red Angus, I am able to be assistance whether it be another breed or a commercial herd. By having purebred and commercial herds, I can help a board cross section of people. My experience can help anyone from the beginner, to the hobbyist or the more experienced cattleman. Whether your herd consists of 1, 100 or 1000 head…let’s head in the right direction.
I am at the place in my life where I have walked the talk, with the energy and drive to help my clients. No question or project is too small or too big. I have over 30 years and counting of experience in the cattle industry. I am still in the pens and pastures daily expanding my knowledge base, and enthusiastic to share this with you.
I would be honored to be a trusted source in your cattle needs….Gerri
